Terms and Conditions

It is your responsibility to inform all participants in your group of terms and conditions of this agreement. All tour participants will need to have a signed Liability Waiver. Parent or authorized guardian must sign for those under the age of 18 years old. Please print enough liability waivers for all participants in your party. They must be signed and ready before the tour start time.

All tour participants must:

  • Wear footwear appropriate for the tour – sneakers, hiking boots, etc. No slick-soled shoes, no non-hiking sandals. If participants do not have on appropriate footwear, they will not be allowed on the tour and will not receive a refund.
  • Absolutely no one under 7 years of will be allowed in the Gorge.
  • Bring at least one bottle of water. Snacks are a good idea also, but should be carried in a backpack of some type so that your hands remain free.
  • You may want to wear a hat and sunscreen, especially during summer months and in winter months dress in layers.
  • Be mindful of any health concerns such as bad or weak knees, ankles, hips, a heart condition, or get easily winded or fatigued. The tour can be physically demanding. In addition, it gets hot in the Gorge very quickly during sunny warm days, so please make sure everyone is well hydrated before and during the tour.
  • No rock or fossil collecting is allowed on Gorge Tours.
  • No pets of any kind on tours, no exceptions.

** Your Guide and Docent(s) volunteers will be there 30 minutes before the tour starts. Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and check in with the tour Guide. Allow ample travel time. Groups arriving after the agreed starting time are subject to cancellation without refund.

Any changes in start times must be coordinated with the office one week prior to the tour.

In the case bad weather or denial of access by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, tours will be cancelled, so it is critical that we have a CELL PHONE for the contact person AND Tour POC listed above.

Type of tour / shuttling requirements will vary meet-up location – You will receive separate email with instructions.
